Like the rails of an Alpine express, the tracks of our cross-country trails crisscross Austria's winter wonderland. They circumnavigate wooden huts covered in a blanket of snow, seemingly in a deep winter sleep. The snow crunches beneath your feet and the anticipation for your outdoor adventure quickly ignites into full euphoria as you initiate those first skillful cross-country strides. The engine, your body, powers up, pushing you forward across an ocean of ice crystals. After a few minutes, the motions become automatic and you become part of the scenery which flanks you. Each and every snowflake adds to the effect. Passing horse-drawn sleighs in the distance underscore your own rhythm with the trotting of hooves, while the sun shines on your face and tells you that now everything is indeed perfect.

- 20 km long XC trail for classic and "skating" technique

- 1300 meters above sea level: perfect conditions for altitude training (increases red blood cells, which in turn improves oxygen supply to the heart)

Biathlon - a sport for all
We highly recommend taking part in our biathlon program, which is a perfect introduction to this Olympic sport. No prior experience is required. After a short introduction, you will head out to the ski trail and shooting range. At the biathlon facility itself, you have the opportunity to rent out all the equipment you need as well as test the newest, race-ready cross-country equipment from leading manufacturers.
Cross-Country Skiing on the Tauernloipe
The Tauernloipe, an over 60 km long cross-country trail network, will lead you to Kleinarl and Wagrain via Radstadt and Altenmarkt. These variety-packed XC trails represent a full range of difficulty certain to appeal to pros and rookies alike. The trail can be accessed right next to 4-star-superior Hotel Lürzerhof in Untertauern. Cross-country skiing is a very popular sport in Austria, reflected in the extraordinary interest sparked by the annual Tauernlauf races held annually in Sportwelt Amadé.
